The USCGC Cleat is a harbor tug boat and was placed into commission in 1967. Duties of this cutter include general towing, patrol, and light ice breaking. The cutter was re-engined in the mid 1990's and may be decommissioned with in the next few years, but the Coast Guard has not issued any definate plans.
