USCGC Liberty (WPB-1334)

The USCGC Liberty is a 110 foot patrol boat suited mainly for Search & Rescue and law enforcement. The class was constructed in 3 batches, with various modifications and improvement made with each batch. The Grand Isle was constructed with the 2nd batch and was placed into commission in 1989. The Liberty has a crew of 18, a maximum speed of 30 knots, and although intended for 10-14 day patrols, they have been making patrols for as long as 60 days. The Liberty is home ported in Auke Bay, Alaska. The patch depicts the cutter with the Statue of Liberty in the background. The Statue of Liberty is in reference to the cutter's name.
