USCGC Sanibel (WPB-1312)

The USCGC Sanibel is a 110 foot patrol boat suited mainly for Search & Rescue and law enforcement. The class was constructed in 3 batches, with various modifications and improvement made with each batch. The Sanibel was constructed with the first batch and was placed into commission in 1986. The Sanibel has a crew of 18, a maximum speed of 30 knots, and although intended for 10-14 day patrols, they have been making patrols for as long as 60 days. The Sanibel is home ported in Woods Hole, Mass.
